Plein Air Canvas the Grove

The 6th Annual Plein Air Canvas the Grove Competition will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

Artists of all ages and skill levels are invited to set up and capture a beautiful setting in Selinsgrove using their medium of choice. Artists will have two hours to paint “in the open air” for a chance to win one of the cash prizes!

Stamping will begin at 8:30am at All Saints Episcopal Church.

Artists will paint from 9am-11am.

This year, viewing and auctioning of the paintings will be held at Susquehanna University's Downtown Center, right down the street from All Saints Episcopal Church!

LIVE AUCTION!

Do you wish you could purchase one of the beautiful paintings created at the Plein Air Competition? Now’s your chance! The paintings will be offered for sale in a LIVE auction to be held in the SU Downtown Center, 111 N. Market Street, Selinsgrove, on Saturday, September 19, 2026, as the conclusion of the Selinsgrove Plein Air event.

Please join us there beginning at 12:30pm to register as a bidder. Public will be admitted to the “Gallery” to preview the paintings and vote for the “Viewers Choice Award” as soon as the judges complete their assessment. The prize award ceremony will be held at 1pm followed by the auction conducted by Hassinger & Courtney Auctioneers. Please join us to support these amazing artists.

Children’s Chalk the Walk Contest

Bring the kids, Pre-k to Fifth grade, to the Rudy Gelnett Memorial Library on Saturday, September 19, 2026, to cover the sidewalks with chalk art! Fun prizes will be awarded to each age group. The library will provide chalk and snacks. In bad weather the contest will be held inside on paper.
