Join in on the festive fun as we invite you to create, imagine, bake and build the ultimate gingerbread house.

If you are a member of the community, you qualify as a participant! Be that judging or creating, come join us at the Selinsgrove Farmer Market Commons on December 18 at 5pm.

For those who are building a confectionary home, be as creative as you want, and think outside the box! What dream house does your gingerbread family want? A castle? A beach house? A house inspired by your favorite movie, show or book? A house that takes us on a trip to another country? The ideas are endless! Winners will be awarded cash prizes ranging from $25 to $150!

To enter you must follow these rules:

• All gingerbread houses must be placed on a plywood or cardboard base not exceeding 24” x 24”.

• No peanuts, tree nuts, or any nuts allowed.

• All gingerbread houses must be 100% edible candy/embellishments/materials except for lights ‘inside/outside’ the house. Non-edible support structure material other than the baseboard may not be used.

• A list of materials used to create your gingerbread house along with a title and brief description should be submitted with your entry.

• Non-edible decorations, such as paint, ribbon, figurines, etc. may be used only to decorate your base.

• No artificial interior materials, such as styrofoam or wood, are to be used to construct or decorate the house.

5pm: Free public entry starts

6:30pm: Judging begins

7pm: Community voting starts

8:30pm: Winner announced by Santa
